Sensorizing the Station

I used the long weekend to put in some position sensors. I wanted ones at each end of the spurs and under the switches.

Filled in with some ballast to make them a little less obvious.

Under the loading shed there is not much light, so I put in a infa-red emitter and detector pair. The IR reflects off the bottom of the car so it will work in the dark.
Breadboarding the sensors for testing. I wired the infa-red ones in backwards to start with.

The underside has got a whole lot more complicated!
